Beth Rypins is renowned worldwide as a whitewater kayaker, raft guide, and international expedition leader. She paved the way for women’s participation in whitewater sports with her 27 years of experience boating in 24 countries on six continents, including countless first descents. Among the rivers she explored are the Yangtze in China, The Boh in Borneo, The Shuilo he in Tibet and the Sumulta in Siberia. As captain she led the US Women’s Whitewater Team to five National and two World Championship titles. Her most daring adventure is also her newest: Motherhood.
